Software Engineer

Pittsburgh, PA, United States

The Azure Storage - Avere team builds high-performance caching filesystems that customers rely on for their most demanding workloads – from rendering Hollywood movies to drug discovery to financial simulations. The Avere solution is a cross-platform product that runs in Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms and in enterprise customers' own datacenters, so we look for creative people who come up with flexible ways to solve our problems. If you are interested in creating a great user experience for systems that users care about, this is the place for you.

The Avere Control Plane team designs, builds, and maintains the software that monitors, configures, and coordinates these highly-available, fault-tolerant systems. We also create the user interfaces that storage administrators and operators see when they interact with our system. As a part of our team, you can have the opportunity to work across the entire software stack, including: interactive web user interfaces; interaction with cloud APIs on Azure, Google, and AWS; designing and building middleware systems that control and monitor cluster functions; and low-level internal configuration and messaging systems.
