The Consumer and Device Sales (CDS) organization works with ecosystem partners to build, market and sell a winning portfolio that delights customers and earns fans around the world. Our priorities are aligned and focused on driving growth across the consumer and commercial device portfolio and driving innovation across our products and programs to market and sell through our global channel ecosystem.
Within CDS, the Business Operations team is the hub to drive these priorities and drive growth at global scale. We do this by:
Designing and running a worldwide sales operating model to achieve sales goals and growth
Driving growth, alignment and prioritization across the organization with a single set of priorities and end-to-end sales motions
Scaling the CDS integration through alignment across Microsoft, our partners, and the industry.
We have an exciting opportunity available to define the end-to-end CDS strategy from framework to planning and execution. We are looking for a talented professional who understands the global channel ecosystem, as well as retail go to market strategies and the gaming space. The successful candidate is up to speed on macro industry trends, emerging technologies, our competitive environment, and our partner playing field. In CDS, our purpose is to work with our partners to build and sell the best devices on the planet, powered by Windows and Microsoft services. This person will influence CDS end-to-end strategy, and partner closely with senior leaders to develop a cross-divisional strategy framework aimed at driving growth and identifying new business opportunities to scale the intelligent edge and attach in the cloud.
Develop cross-CDS strategy frameworks and plans to scale the intelligent edge and the intelligent cloud leading to revenue, share and usage growth.
Develop and partner across CDS on end-to-end compete strategy and plans (Chrome, Apple)
Identify existing business opportunities to drive business model transformation from royalty to cloud (Azure, M365, O365, Game Pass, Mixer)
Identify cross-platform opportunities bringing to life Microsoft solutions and services on cross-platform devices
Identify new category and incubation category sales motions opportunities across CDS to accelerate sales ramp
Develop strategies to scale cloud, cloud solution partner, and gaming solutions in existing markets and establish presence in new markets
Develop cross-CDS account strategy framework and views
Create cross-CDS strategy forum and engagement model to ensure consistency across the division and leverage existing programs to accelerate growth
Complex business modeling experience
10+ years of professional experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related function and/or MBA preferred
Experience working in a startup environment preferred
Comfort managing multiple projects at once, able to prioritize and manage through ambiguity and achieve strong business results
Demonstrated expertise collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups to deliver global solutions
Experience selling or marketing devices with OEM and/or Channel partners (e.g. retail, operator, VAR, business)
Executive composure, self-starter, highly motivated, team player
Able to travel globally 10-20%
