Senior Software Engineer

Redmond, WA, United States

Are you passionate about building software that truly delivers user delight? If so, then you could be a great fit for the Feedback Hub engineering team. We’ve spent the last few years building the Feedback Hub app and related services to connect the millions of Windows users worldwide to the thousands of engineers here at Microsoft and our partner ISVs. Now we need your help to build an awesome user experience that will bring customer loyalty and engagement to the next level -- where users are excited to give feedback and eager to try the next update, confident that their voice is being heard.

Our mission to gather and act upon user feedback is a critical piece of the engineering cycle as well as Microsoft’s commitment to the growth mindset. Satya Nadella recently stated, “Customer-obsessed: We will learn about our customers and their businesses with a beginner’s mind and then bring solutions that meet their needs. We will be insatiable in our desire to learn from the outside and bring that knowledge into Microsoft, while still innovating to surprise and delight our users.” The Windows Feedback team is doing this every day in support of our many users that span internal “selfhosters”, Insiders, IT admins, and our broad retail audience around the world.

Responsibilities

We currently have opportunities that span our entire technology stack – including UWP app development, Azure services, OS diagnostics, and telemetry analytics. This job will require working closely with dev peers, PMs, data scientists, and designers in a fast-moving DevOps / Agile environment where we ship monthly releases to millions of users. Enthusiasm for devices is also a plus since Feedback Hub supports Desktop, SurfaceHub, Mobile, HoloLens, VR headsets, IoT, etc. This is your opportunity to not just practice user focused engineering but to enable it for an entire ecosystem.
