Microsoft? The Universal Storefronts team is hiring! The Storefronts team is looking for an exceptionally technical software engineer who will help us deliver great, compelling experiences on the Microsoft Store which will delight end users. There is opportunity for significant cross-team interactions within the Windows groups in  (C&E)  and Universal Store (UST) teams, so the ideal candidate will possess experience in working on complex, cross-team, engineering initiatives. This position requires a strong passion for scenario health using tooling, e2e scenario automation, telemetry & data insights/analysis plus end-user advocacy. Our team is an organization that believes in pushing team members to constantly improve their technical chops, thought leadership and problem-solving skills


We use telemetry data from users to identify patterns, predict behavior using AI/ Machine learning methods and discover valuable insights about the Microsoft Store features. We ensure that Microsoft Store is able to provide the best platform for developers to showcase compelling cross-device experiences with Windows, including IoT class devices. We want to deliver a world-class marketplace experience leveraging both Microsoft technologies and other compatible stacks and platforms to make Windows Store. For all the areas described above, we want to take a data-driven, customer-obsessed approach to validate that the end user experience on the Microsoft Store is world-class.

We are looking for passionate Software Engineers that can help us engineer and deliver the next set of great compelling experiences on the
Microsoft Store using AI/ML techniques. If you want to use your skills to help us make Microsoft Store the best digital store and gain deep insights into the marketplace ecosystem, this is the job for you!


Required skills & experience:
- Passion for using a data driven approach to software engineering

- Passion for delivering high quality software with good understanding of software development cycle

- Knowledge and experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval or statistics
- Degree in computer science or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in designing, developing and testing software

- Strong skills in Python, R and SQL

- Strong coding and debugging skills in modern object oriented language (C#, C++ or Java)
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
