The Global Demand Center Marketing team is leading the transformation of marketing at Microsoft with campaigns and engines that allow us to engage in a more personal way with our customers. The GDC team is looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist to drive our Account Based Marketing approach in our regional GDC Marketing team. The regional GDC team is tasked with scaling Microsoft’s demand center efforts, while helping to identify gaps and opportunities to streamline our marketing connection with our Insides Sales team. The Account Based Marketing Specialist will be responsible for landing the ABM strategy across the Americas (US, Canada, Latin America) in partnership with Inside Sales, Global Engagement Program team, and area marketing organizations. They will work within the region and Inside Sales center to evangelize the ABM strategy and benefits that the tailored and more targeted approach provides. They will partner with the AEs, SSPs, SDSs, & ISRs to ensure adoption of the recommendations that are provided, to help increase deal velocity. The ABM Specialist will also serve as the primary interface with Insides Sales within the region to ensure Social Selling techniques are being utilized by the team.
This role requires strong business acumen and being well versed in marketing, planning, and project management are key to being successful in this role. Successful candidates excel at cross team collaboration and have a history of solving tough problems in complex environments, as well as the ability to demonstrate leadership and influence across a diverse set of stakeholders.
• Evangelize and land ABM strategy with Inside Sales and Area marketing leads to ensure adoption of the capability within the region. • Partner with sales leaders to capture and understand seller feedback on ABM approach and surface to Corp GDC team. • Build a scalable approach to identify key accounts within the area and help focus efforts in a systematic way to increase volume of opportunities and deal velocity. • Develop best practices for the utilization of social selling techniques to drive account engagement. • Work with GEP team to prioritize content workstreams that benefit a more focused and targeted ABM approach.
• Experience in B2B Marketing and Demand Generation or Marketing Planning, preferably across multiple products and/or geographies. • Strong project management skills with proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Excellent communication, inter-personal, and cross group collaboration skills. • High attention to detail and able to work within stringent deadlines. • Creative thinking and ability to design and optimize new processes and solutions. • marketing, or business planning and operations. • Self-starter with a drive to succeed in a quickly changing business environment. • Experience working with Executive level managers required. • Comfort with high levels of ambiguity and proven ability to have impact & influence. • College degree (MBA/Masters preferred) 6+ years of relevant work experience in marketing.
