Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Mixer is the newest addition to the Xbox family. At Mixer we’ve redefined the rules for what constitutes live streaming. We don’t talk about delay in terms of seconds, in our world we operate in milliseconds. We’re able to do things never thought possible to make the viewer and streamer experience far more engaging and interactive. From the obvious; seeing a streamer respond to a chat message instantly, to the exciting; allowing a viewer to interact directly with the game the streamer is playing, we’ve made the viewers part of the action and we’re not stopping there!

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is focused on delivering performant, resilient, and highly-available services to ever-growing global userbases.  Through skills in systems and software engineering disciplines, an SRE takes a data-driven approach to understanding how services are performing, how users are interacting with the service, and identifies areas for current & future optimization.

A Senior SRE takes ownership in the reliability roadmap of services through a deep-understanding the service’s current state and defining optimized future target states.  Through advocacy and mentorship, a Senior SRE will work with the team to design, create, and implement continually-improving measures of reliability.
