Microsoft HoloLens Team is continuing to revolutionize consumer electronic devices. The team is that incubated Kinect and profoundly redefined the way people interact with technology is forming a product development team to change the world again! We are growing team of experienced device product developers, working in a startup environment on redefining experiences with epic technology innovation. We are developing ground-breaking hardware, software and experiences across computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and image and video processing, networking and graphics. We will transform our ideas into reality through shipping a first-to-market product.


We are looking for a highly motivated and seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer who enjoys bringing both technical and tactical expertise to cross-disciplinary teams and is excited about leading system-level and sub-system designs through fast-paced product development cycles. A strong mix of technical breadth and depth will allow you to work cross-functionally to tie mechanical assemblies, optics, electronics and software into compelling consumer experiences.






  • BSME/MSME - combination with Material Science (Polymers, Metals, Composites)
  • Proficiency in CAD tools – design of complex jigs and fixtures
  • Good background in electronic packaging and process engineering
  • Extensive background in Metrology tools and failure analysis
  • Hands-on with ability to own, follow thru and close a project (self- initiative and driven)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical and ability to multi-task with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with part manufacturing (CNC, laser welding/drilling, Molding operations, Extrusion, lamination, printing/s, plating/s, etc.)
  • Experience with mass (volume) production
  • Ability to travel

Desired skills:


  • Knowledge of PCB, PCBA, Flex and substrate technologies
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, e.g., SMT, ICT, FATP
  • Good knowledge of Thermodynamics, structural dynamics application of FEA and CFD tools
  • Knowledge of electronic devices/manufacturing
  • Familiarity with GD&T
