The Quantum hardware team is developing a full-stack quantum computer, consisting of a quantum plane, cryogenic control and readout circuitry, classical control processor, runtime software and quantum language compiler.
We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to help drive the development of this next-generation computing system.
Qualified candidates will possess a MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, and 12 years of relevant job experience, including at least 3 years at a lead or senior level.
We are seeking individuals capable of driving all aspects of product design and development, including development of specification documents, verification and validation plans, part and vendor selection, prototype and engineering development, laboratory test and product deployment.
Candidates will be comfortable operating in a fast moving, interdisciplinary, flat organization pushing the limits of physics and engineering. Candidates must handle rapid change and ambiguity.

Subsystem design, analysis, schematic capture, circuit board layout, prototyping, bring-up and debugging, hardware bug tracking, functional verification and signal characterization, and test

Experience with most of the following:
Extensive experience testing/characterizing DRAM devices and design for high speed DRAM channels
Circuit simulation across parametric variation and temperature domains
Printed Circuit Board design, layout, and analysis
Experience conducting design reviews
Prototyping and laboratory testing
Experience with designing and implementing of analog, digital or mixed-signal circuit boards from concept through production using operational amplifiers, filters, and transistors, ADC, DAC, power supply components, multi-GHz Serdes, DRAM interfaces, I2C, Ethernet, SPI, FPGAs, ASICs, and processors
