Who we are: Microsoft Developer Center Norway, with Offices in Oslo, Trondheim and Troms is part of the Office division within Microsoft and is a nexus of information sharing across applications inside of Microsoft Office 365, with ownership of how users experience people, building a semantic information graph across content like files, and providing organization wide searches. We are transforming Microsoft Office 365 to an intelligent fabric to empower people and organizations to achieve more. We span the gamut from user interface design and modern open source implementations (React and React Native) to backend data storage and serving across more than 100,000 backend servers. As the Office People organization in Microsoft, we are integrating relational and valuable knowledge of people into a variety of Office products. We are taking the Office, Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive mobile apps to new levels of intelligence by bringing in graph learnings into them, anchored around people experiences.


  • Work closely with your Program Management, Design and Engineering colleagues to develop and ship features on the Android platform for the Microsoft apps: Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, etc.
  • Drive and communicate technical requirements, designs and prototypes across groups.
  • Learn, grow and share your technical skills.


  • Experienced and passionate mobile developer familiar with tooling, design guidelines, release and maintenance process of apps on Android and/or iOS platforms.
  • Experienced or passionate to learn the JavaScript ecosystem including technologies such as React Native, TypeScript, npm and so forth.
  • You know how to make amazing user experiences and how to iteratively improve fast to reach maximum user engagement.
  • It's not required for you to be a UX designer spending your time in tools like Photoshop, but you should be comfortable working closely with designers when shaping new experiences.
