Job Purpose (Job Summary): 

We are seeking a Adv Engineer to join a fast-paced agile development team building-out enterprise grade data platforms that support Investment Front, Back, Middle Office, and various other Enterprise teams. You will be a part of a dynamic, collaborative team that wants to hear your input because you know the leading methods, tools, and theories in data engineering and data delivery. The focus of this role will be to expose our Enterprise Operational Data Store via RESTful APIs leveraging MuleSoft toolset and framework to both internal and external clients that support our business clients. You will be working alongside our data integration, delivery and reporting teams leveraging the Invesco Enterprise Data Integration tools and architecture.


Key Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Build and lead development of robust data services architecture using MuleSoft toolset, Java and other related technologies
  • Develop solutions to optimize flow of large and high frequency datasets for consumption via RESTful APIs.
  • Contribute and deliver enterprise grade durable and stable application solutions that meets and exceed Invesco build and operations benchmarks.
  • Strong experience in systems and data integration on real time data delivery systems.


Work Experience / Knowledge:
  • 5+ years of experience focused in data delivery, especially in experience layer side with at least 3+ years in MuleSoft framework.
  • Experience with micro-services-based architecture and design/build experience with SQL database is a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics.
  • 8+ years of full stack SDLC experience with Java (preferable) and/or C#.
  • Familiar with Agile software development (Scrum is a plus)
  • DevOps knowledge is a plus

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
  • Bachelors or masters degree of Computer Science or other similar advanced degrees from a top tier educational institution preferred
Working Conditions:
  • Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures
  • The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary
  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment
  • Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call support by pager and/or cell phone
  • Able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally. Frequency and duration to be determined by manager. Estimate: 10-15%
