We’re looking for an attorney with expertise in global privacy and data protection law to join our Privacy and Regulatory Affairs legal team in Redmond, Washington, and solve challenging privacy issues impacting Microsoft’s business around the world.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide legal guidance on global privacy and data protection requirements, including the General Data Protection Regulation.
Review and provide recommendations on privacy and data protection issues, including data protection impact assessments.
Collaborate with the team to track legal and regulatory developments in the privacy and data protection areas, and drive
Company-wide guidance on the most impactful issues.
Interface with regulators, policymakers and influential and explain Microsoft’s data practices and positions to regulators.
Basic Qualifications include:
JD from an accredited law school is required with a strong preference for excellent academic credentials.
At least 6 years as a practicing attorney, with strong law firm experience and familiarity with privacy regulations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
