A top pain point for small businesses and self-employed continues to be Getting Paid. Despite all the innovation in the payments industry, 64% of small businesses have invoices that are 60+ days outstanding with many that never ever get paid.  Intuit’s Payments team is on a mission to transform this reality, with an ambition of delivering on the promise of “Get Paid faster for what you are owed.” We are on a journey of delivering this promise by making the experiences of our customers super simple and intuitive

  • Collaborate closely with our strategic partners, senior business leaders, and senior product leaders to define the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for the market launch of a modern Payments API that will drive a new business model for our small business and self-employed group
  • Champion the API product vision with internal stakeholders and cross-functional groups to secure buy-in for execution to the roadmap
  • Define and document the end-to-end product needs for the Payments API with the goal of building a simple, easy, and best-in-the-class integration experience for our partner developers
  • Work closely with the engineering teams to advocate the customer needs and context to ensure a high-quality Payments API
  • Be data driven; deeply understand the customer with usability studies, experiments, and talking to our partners; measure practices and outcomes; understand the market trends and competitive landscape
  • Accelerate execution of the strategy by leading cross-group alignment and prioritization
  • Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, drive product development with cross-functional teams, and deliver the Payments API quickly
  • Lead by example; plan and conduct experiments to validate solution ideas; challenge the status quo
  • Be bold and be entrepreneurial; foster a culture of innovation and impact
  • Communicate effectively, collaborate, and have a bias towards action
  • Share knowledge, mentor others; be a product evangelist
  • 7 or more years designing and delivering world-class products in a Product Management role in experiment-driven, data-informed, iterative development environments
  • Proven ability to develop and champion a product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a product area in support of customer needs and company objectives
  • Technically conversant and forward thinking, ideally in Payments, eCommerce, Fintech, APIs, Application Integrations, and partner ecosystems
  • Experience in designing and launching products in web API technologies like SOAP, REST, or GraphQL; conversant in building best-in-the-class developer experience and API documentation
  • Experience in data-sharing technologies and tools like OAuth; exposure in Identity & Access management and logical data modeling
  • Skilled in evaluating the competitive landscape, identifying compelling solutions, analyzing technologies, and assessing the importance of emerging tools and platforms
  • Able to leverage business insights and analytics to ensure cross-functional alignment and help teams drive strategic partnerships and new investments forward
  • Highly effective as both a senior individual contributor and experienced in coaching/developing others
  • Skilled in customer discovery and customer development methods; proven success in identifying internal/external customer needs and corresponding opportunities
  • Proven ability to connect and collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams and strategic partners and ‘translate’ between them
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to persuade, communicate the vision and motivate people at every level; collaborative working style
  • Strategic mindset; comfort with ambiguity; focus on quality and results
  • Strong EQ and leadership skills; excellent analytical and quantitative abilities; proficiency in product analytics, testing methodologies and data-backed decision processes
