About the Role:

The Tax Practice in FTI Consulting are seeking a Client Administrator with excellent all round skills. You will be providing support to the whole team. You must be highly organised and be able to juggle and prioritise the demands of the senior team. The successful candidate will have advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, excellent administrative skills and forward planning skills with a proactive and positive approach. This role is suited to someone who enjoys a full, varied and sometimes deadline driven day, with strong team work ethics and a can do attitude. The nature of our business is driven by client deadlines and sometimes you may be required to work outside the core hours at short notice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration of client set up and take-on procedures, including money laundering policy and "knowing your client"
  • Drafting client engagement letters
  • Facilitating negotiations on client contracts with the legal team and external clients
  • Billing analysis
  • Assisting with client proposals and meeting preparation
  • Assisting with managing our membership of an international tax network
  • Preparation of invoices
  • Monitoring and management of group cash collection
  • Assistance with group client business development and marketing initiatives
  • Any other ad hoc client administrative duties as required

    Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to prioritise workload and to deal with multiple parties and requests
  • Strong attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy, both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to work under time pressure and be available as needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to maintain collaborative working environment
  • Strong team player
  • Proven ability to work with limited direction
  • Ability to handle confidential issues with utmost sensitivity
  • Strong levels of discretion and integrity


  • Demonstrable administrative experience in a professional services environment
  • Experience of working with a professional services team
  • Experience of client take on procedures and drafting client engagement letters
  • Experience with client interface and understanding of client relationships

    Education and Qualifications:

  • Strong GCSE and A levels (or equivalent)
