Position Overview:

The Group Product Manager for Digital Learning will be responsible for both upstream product management, and downstream product marketing of digital learning products. The primary functions will be to manage and execute to a comprehensive digital learning roadmap that enables a continuous learning experience around minimally invasive care tailored for surgeons, OR staff and hospital administrators.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Objectives

• Partner with Learning & Development team to develop comprehensive digital learning roadmap that closely aligns with the customer, business and company’s long term needs
• Partners closely with business teams to research learning solutions, and identify trends
• Understand competitive and emerging technologies and their impact on robotic surgery and education
• Develop business case, return on investment and key performance indicators for all new learning products
• Creates project proposals to define scope, strategy, time frame, budget, development plan, responsibilities, risks, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
• Drive alignment with all key stakeholders including customers, c-suite, business, design and development teams
• Establish market and product requirements; including product positioning, value proposition and pricing – as needed
• Create functional mockups, epics and user stories to enable development of digital learning products using agile/scrum methodology
• Ensure all products follow regulatory compliance as defined by HIPAA, FDA Labeling etc.
• Ensure data privacy and security compliance leveraging Intuitive Surgical Standard Operating Procedures and Health Information Technology (HIT), as required
• Partner with business and development teams to key milestones are met throughout the execution phase; including milestones, resources and budgets
• Manage the entire product rollout and implementation process from internal and external alignment and change management to global product launch.
• Partner with user research teams to conduct usability and customer preference studies
• Refine requirements with feedback from customers, sales, marketing, services, operations, clinical development engineering and product engineering teams.
• Partner with business teams to measure success by monitoring key performance indicators and seeking post-launch product feedback.
• Partner with development teams to manage, monitor and prioritize product backlog

Key Deliverables:

Core Competencies, Skills and Experience Requirements

• Product management or product marketing experience in a Health Informatics company and/or Digital Learning company serving large Providers, Payers or Lifesciences companies is required. Surgical, Perioperative and/or OR experience desired.
• Demonstrated experience with mobile training, AR, VR, xAPI and Learning Management systems is a must.
• Proven ability to effectively position and message products/procedures and develop strong sales support to drive product/procedure adoption. Demonstrated success in building Go-To-Market programs to drive product/procedure growth.
• Demonstrated ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities to deliver high-impact marketing programs on-time and within budget to support overall marketing strategy and business objectives.
• Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines to ensure product success
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. This includes the ability to work well in bridging communication between engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customers.
• Superior verbal/written communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to work across multiple constituents.
• Self-starter with ability to take leadership in an unstructured environment.
• Ability to participate in activities in labs and in the operating room environment.
• Able to prioritize and smoothly manage multiple tasks.
• Must be well versed in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to travel 25-35% of the time. Some international travel may be required.
Education and Training Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience and Bachelor’s degree in life science, computer science or business discipline. Masters in related field or MBA desired
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Group Product Manager, Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager required with a history of defining and launching successful Health Information Technology or Digital Learning products. Upstream and Downstream experience is a must
• Direct team management experience is required
