Outfront Media is looking for a Digital Platform Network Engineer to join the Digital Infrastructure team to help deploy and operate networking infrastructure that facilitates delivery of content and collecting of data to/from digital screens in the fields. Our infrastructure contains OUTFRONT’s proprietary ONSmart platform and other commercial digital signage systems. In this role, you will work collaboratively with other Digital Operations team members to secure our digital platforms and ensure 24x7x365 operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Designing, deploying, and operating networking hardware, software, and services to ensure 24x7x365 uninterrupted network connectivity for Outfront Media digital infrastructure operations utilizing mainly wireless WAN and LAN technologies.
  • Performing surveys for new sites including gathering of requirements and documenting of site information and designs.
  • Interacting with cellular and wireless service providers to develop cost effective solutions and ensure proper SLAs are met.
  • Monitoring networking activity and usage and troubleshooting issues.
  • Managing and configuring proper and secure network access.
  • Escalating issues to other supporting groups and department head.
  • Ensuring that all networking equipment and services are up-to-date and comply with industry and security standards.
  • Evaluating new hardware, software, and services as needed.
  • Undertaking routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and monitoring network security
  • Providing training and technical support for users with varying levels of technical background and competence. Working closely with other departments and collaborating with other business identities


  • At least 3+ years of direct working experience in operating production digital infrastructure with emphasis in mobile and Wifi networks operations and planning.
  • In depth working knowledge of mobile and Wifi communication technologies.
  • Extensive experience in network monitoring and performance tuning tools.
  • Experience in using tools for wireless site surveys and site preparation and using RF surveys to determine Wifi Access Point locations.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP related protocols.
  • Strong knowledge in network security.
  • Understanding of best practices and data center operations in an always-up, always-available setup.
  • Ability to create and maintain network infrastructure documentation including systems, networks and their interactions.
  • Ability to adhere to established operations procedures and policies.
  • Ability to create clear step by step knowledge base documents for NOC and field personnel to follow and resolve known issues.
  • Participate in 24x7 on call rotations.
  • 4-year college degree in relevant fields.
