Job Description:

This Policy & Standard Lead (P&S Lead) should have an excellent background in data management standards, processes and experience in conducting Operational activities like inspection, quality assurance & troubleshooting metadata related issues. This position will require partnering with multiple business stakeholders and helping them to drive out the Enterprise Data Management Standards across Bank of America. P&S Lead will monitor daily adherence metrics and will be heavily involved in the manual inspection. P& Lead will also work with each Businesses to collect metadata/control, address inquires, remediate observations and support with training. In addition this P&S Lead will be expected to execute daily operational processes, produce data quality metrics, improve data management practices, and support the enterprise metadata tool with defect identification, correct, new requirements and testing. P&S Lead should have a solid expertise in creating presentation materials (ppt. or excel or word) to review with the stakeholders on a regular basis on the Standards Adherence progress. The P&S Lead will be responsible for the EDM Standards and Playbooks, P&S Adherence Monitoring, QA and Governance and the related process owner role for the function.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of data management (or equivalent) experience and a strong background in managing, maintaining and documenting operational processes
  • 5+ years of FLU/CF management related to Data Standard or any Data efforts. This resource would be managing Global Risk Management FLUs
  • 5+ years of experience in Operational activities like inspection, quality assurance(QA)
  • 5+ years of experience in BCBS-239/Risk Data Aggregation Report management/governance
  • 5+ years of managing enterprise policies and standards development and maintenance that includes standards, playbooks and procedures
  • 5+ years of experience in working in the Transport data life cycle and/or managing/governing Transport Standard/Playbook
  • 5+ years of experience with Metrics, Reporting and ability to create powerpoint decks for Senior Management presentation
  • Solid experience with Data tools, analytics, reporting and technology experience ( Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, MicroStrategy, EDR, ERR and DDC/Collibra etc.)
  • Strong technical background, process oriented, data and technology experience
  • Solid experience working with Audit/Compliance partners
  • Good understanding of technology change and support processes
  • Ability to be an effective business partner and engage at various levels
  • Proficient in MS office including Power Point, Excel and Word, Project, Visio and SQL
  • Solid experience in creating presentation materials using Powerpoint or Excel or MS Word
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Quick learner of Business Process and Technology tools
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Agile development methodology
  • Awareness/knowledge of Business Data Domains within the Bank of America
  • Broad knowledge of Bank of America Front Line Units, Control Functions, and products
  • Experience writing and reviewing risk statements with quantification of impact
  • Data lineage and Control environment evaluation
  • Data governance and QA review
  • Prioritization, action planning, and risk acceptance justification
  • Stakeholder management and audience awareness for executive communications
