Our teams are seeking Software Engineers to join us as we create and deliver mission critical business services and processes for Microsoft. Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Focus on customer/partner needs through a data driven approach
  • Contribute to a software engineering team in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations
  • Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews
  • Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are: well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.
  • Optimize automation, reliability and monitoring of LiveSite
  • Considers portability/monitoring, reliability, testability and maintainability to ensure her or his code is ready to be shared and delivered
  • Improve test coverage for services by exposing coverage issues, organizes and implements integration tests, and resolves problem areas
  • Build a clear understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with mentors and leaders to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users
  • Stay educated on existing, emerging technologies and do POCs to evaluate technology fits for customer needs

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years development and implementation on a high availability systems
  • 2+ years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, relational or NoSQL database experience, test automation

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working understanding operating in an Agile team
  • Experience with direct, remote and virtual teams
  • Experience in design
  • Testing mindset, before beginning code development
  • Translate problem solving techniques into code
  • Understanding of data structure and data storage solutions
  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
