Principal, Corporate Development: Dell Technologies Capital (“DTC”)


The Principal of the Corporate Development group will be a key leader in driving ongoing corporate development and strategy efforts across the family of Dell Technologies businesses.  He/she will work closely with the Dell business units on development of strategic objectives and lead teams to evaluate and execute initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, alliances, and/or joint ventures, necessary for Dell to achieve its long-term growth and profitability objectives.  This person must be comfortable working within a small and high performing group of dedicated corporate development professionals.


Work closely with senior business partners and leadership to analyze and execute key strategic initiatives.

Manage all phases of transaction process with significant autonomy:

  • Internal phases include articulating and refining strategic objectives, building preliminary and final acquisition and investment business plans, presenting comprehensive analyses of acquisition and investment opportunities to business units, Dell’s executive management team and others, and participating in and tracking transaction integration and post-closing performance monitoring and reporting, as well as managing and working well with transaction teams. 
  • External phases include performing diligence, negotiating all transaction agreements, ensuring the smooth execution of all aspects of transactions, working productively with targets and Dell Technologies representatives and, more generally, representing Dell Technologies in an appropriate manner.

Manage transaction teams.

Manage more junior members of the corporate development team.

Serve as an important internal and external advocate for Dell Technologies and DTC at company meetings


Ability to influence senior executives and others to achieve results.

Ability to lead, motivate and direct a working group.

Excellent coach and mentor for junior team members.

Demonstrated expert qualitative and quantitative analytical ability.

Extensive financial and accounting experience.

Demonstrable negotiation skills.

Ability to quickly develop an operational command of the business.

Project management skills.

Familiarity with industry trends.


5-10+ years of relevant experience (e.g., corporate development, investment banking, private equity).

Bachelor’s degree required.

MBA preferred.
