The Expedia Partner Solutions group is looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to work on our Travel Agent Affiliate Platform (TAAP). TAAP is a rapidly growing program with 30+% YoY growth for the past 5 years and does more than a Billion-dollar in business. As a TAAP team member, you will get exposure to the code base that supports Multiple Lines of businesses including Hotels, Flights, Cars etc. and common infrastructure components used across Expedia, in addition to working on the core TAAP platform.

We are pioneers, as one of the first teams within Expedia to move to the Cloud back in 2010. Our codebase is wide and dynamic. We pride ourselves in our ability to adapt to multiple codebases and architectures while maintaining a scalable and resilient feature set. For our own system, our services and technologies include: Java, C#, Javascript, T-SQL, .NET, Akka, Backbone JS, React JS, Scala and various AWS technologies.

What you’ll do:

  • You will be an integral member in the design, analysis, development and deployment of multiple projects to solve complex business problems
  • You will design and implement highly scalable, and reliable applications and components
  • You will work closely with architects, product leads and developers
  • You will chip in to the main Expedia codebase and develop on new and existing TAAP microservices.
  • You possess a keen eye for the operational aspects of the platform such as deployment, performance tuning and monitoring
  • You will ensure TAAP features are safe and secure so our customers can use the site with confidence
  • You will build TAAP features from the ground up, starting from our persistence layer,through our service stack to the UX experience.

Who you are:

You’ll fit this role if you have:

  • 2-3 years of web development experience
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages Java/Scala/C#/
  • Working knowledge of UI technology: HTML / CSS / JavaScript
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous delivery principles
  • Experience working with Automation frameworks
  • Able to work with and incorporate feedback from other engineers and product owners
  • Bonus - understanding of SQL and/or AWS offerings
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent degree
