As the Digital Art Director on the ON Smart Media platform group, you will be a key leader of the Marketing, Content and Experience + Interactive Services team. You will lead all creative concepting efforts and be responsible for the management of all creative and visual design resources, including UX/UI.

Creative & Content

In this aspect of your role you will be serving as the conceptual and artistic lead for digital creative work for original content, partnership content, and for clients’ digital work as needed, for publication on our digital out-of-home ecosystem. You will be expected to lead the concepting process, contributing your own ideas as well as soliciting ideas from your team, and beyond, for:

Content Experiences – Part of the vision of the ON Smart Media platform is to continually introduce entertaining and informative content for people that help our media earn the attention of audiences. You will be a key part of the team bringing this vision to life and crafting the experiences audiences will have with our digital assets beyond advertising. This will include:

  • Working with the MCX leadership team to continue to evolve our Content Strategy in line with our business objectives
  • Leading the development of a content calendar to ensure the consistent creation of content experiences for our screens across multiple deployments
  • Working with Project Management to make sure content is being developed on time and to spec
  • Working with Project Managements to ensure resourcing for projects
  • Hands-on creation of digital content and leadership of design resources to produce content
  • Working with the Creative Technology team for the development of dynamic content (HTML and other formats)

Digital Campaign Creative – Some clients and agencies will turn to us to produce digital concepts and you will be responsible for the art direction of the design and production team’s efforts.

Client Pitch Creative – Specific digital ideas that excite and intrigue clients are the best way to support the ON Smart Media Sales efforts. You will be responsible for generating concepts and producing mock-ups, to various degrees of completeness, for client pitch initiatives.

Materials & Design

In this aspect of your role you will be responsible for the oversight of, and frequently the hands-on creation of, marketing materials ranging from Sales Sheets to Presentations. Emphasis will be placed on the development of graphic templates to empower other teams; however, you will often be involved in the creation of key bespoke materials. You will be the key “eye” for driving visual consistency across OUTFRONT’s materials.

Marketing Materials – The look and feel of various marketing materials will be directed by you, and when required, created and produced by you and your design team. You will be responsible for handling material requests from various sources that may include:

  • Sales & Regional/LocalMarketing (With an emphasis on NY) – most of this work should be handled by the equipping of local teams with solid templates that they can make use of, however, occasional template updates and bespoke work will be required. A process for quality control will need to be implemented.
  • Product Marketing – As a part of the Go To Market efforts for new products, Presentations and Sales materials will need to be created.
  • National Sales Development team – this team assembles bespoke presentations for clients themselves, however will often require various graphic & production design support.
  • Brand Marketing – most of this work should be handled with templates, however bespoke internal and external presentations will also be required.
  • Interactive Marketing – as required photo manipulation and page design within the established templates of the OUTFRONT.com site.
  • Business Development – Photomanipulation and other design work is required on an occasional basis for presentations or submissions for Transit Authority and other business development activates.
