This role reports to Corporate Affairs & Communications and is responsible for developing and executing the center-wide communications strategy, including leadership communications and visual communications for the Salt Lake City market.  The Communications Coordinator also plays a key role in driving awareness and engagement about key Blue Box, market-specific and GSG initiatives in Salt Lake City. The Coordinator devotes 80 percent of his/her time to the planning and development of local and regional communications, and 20 percent of his/her time to executing and providing input on GSG network activities and strategies.

The specific job responsibilities include:
  • Serve as communications lead for the local Market Executive Team (MET) and execute its center-wide communications, including internal news blogs, recognition events and town halls
  • Partner with the MET to drive and reinforce the company and local office culture through a targeted communications strategy  
  • Serve as a work stream lead on key GSG-wide communications projects, developing strategies, advising leaders on effective approaches, determining key messages and influencing business partners    
  • Support the local rollout of corporate and GSG programs and initiatives
  • Own and implement the communications strategy for: Market Colleague Diversity Networks, SLC Engagement Committee, SLC Development Committee, Serve2Gether, Healthy Living, and other key players of market initiatives to ensure proper promotion and advertisement
  • Communicate center events to Salt Lake City colleagues using various channels.  Write scripts and create event content and promotional materials including concept, media and social interfaces. Create engaging follow-up content from events including blog posts and videos.
  • Serve as a member of the local Crisis Response Team (CRT)
  • Liaise between MET and local sponsors to negotiate sponsorships and maintain community relationships outside of CRA
  • Enforce no-solicitation policy when needed (e.g., Guest speakers, colleague offers etc.)
  • Ambitious self-starter who is passionate about developing a communications strategy for the market that resonates with the corporate level Colleague Value Proposition
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in communications or related role
  • Superior written, verbal and multi-media communication skills
  • Proven ability to implement effective colleague communication plans serving a broad audience
  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and PowerPoint
  • Experience in Jive and graphic design desired
  • Experience in interacting with and writing for senior leaders
  • Excellent discretion and judgment
  • Ability to meet deadlines of multiple priorities

  • Photography experience
  • Digital asset management
  • Graphic design
  • Video production skills
