Position Overview
Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is seeking a Sr. Technical Manager – Engineering, who will be responsible for establishing and maintaining energy engineering excellence by setting energy engineering methods and procedures for the development and execution for Federal performance contracts including, but not limited to ESPC and UESC contracts.
This individual will provide oversight in the engineering technical resources which will interface and assist the Federal Energy Team during development, implementation, and post-construction phases of a project.
Job Description:
•Development of standard engineering design processes and review which incorporates the stand government review processes and UFC guiidelines and applicable building codes
•Refine standard scope templates by ECM to be used on all Federal Energy saving projects
•Manage engineering resource to support the design and engineering aspects of ESPC and UESC contract during development and execution
•Ensure customer satisfaction by providing support and managing and resolving customer issues
•Manage file maintenance for all engineering design records
•Provide engineering support with estimating project costing on projects
•Manage team to provide engineering Q/C support during project execution to assure projects are being implemented per design requirements
•Work with customer during development and execution to support engineering activities and support team in achieving a high customer satisfaction level
•Develop standard engineering tools and software to support expanded in-house design capabilities
•Track and work to continually reduce engineering non-conformance cost on projects during execution
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or another technical field
•Certified Energy Manager or Professional Engineer certifications and energy industry experience preferred
•6-8 years industry related experience with good verbal and written communication skills
•3-4 years engineering management experience
•Knowledge and experience working on developing and execution of large Federal ESPC projects
•Expert Knowledge of Verification Protocol standards (IPMVP), FEMP 4.0 and general energy industry practices and procedures
Preferred Experience:
•Master’s degree in Engineering or Management
•8+ years in the Energy business with a proven history of progression in the ESPC industry
Security Clearance:
•Candidate must be a United States Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
