Are you interested in applying your software engineering experience and GIS knowledge to global vector basemaps? This is an exciting opportunity to build, analyze, and enhance the global vector basemaps used by our worldwide customer base for a wide range of GIS services. You'll work with a team of exceptional geographic data engineers, cartographers, and GIS product engineers who design, build, and release a rich and ever-increasing array of maps, geographic data, and services for our global user community.

• Help build, analyze, and release regular updates to Esri's global vector basemaps, including geographical data from Esri partners and contributors as well as OpenStreetMap
• Help design and implement improvements in processing to deliver high-quality basemaps to our customers faster
• Investigate questions/issues and work with others to improve product quality and user experiences

• 1+ years experience with Esri ArcGIS software
• Strong desire to help develop, run, and maintain processes that deliver high-quality releases on a regular basis
• Experience with Python
• Understanding of hosted web services and SaaS
• Experience with software engineering, from dev to QA to production release
• Experience working in Windows OS
• Methodical, quality-minded, and a good team player
• Bachelor's in GIS, computer information systems, computer science, information technology, or other technical field

• Experience with SQL, and other scripting languages
• Experience working in Linux OS
• Experience automating software build and QA processes
• Familiarity with contributing to OpenStreetMap
• Master's in GIS, computer information systems, computer science, information technology, or other technical field, depending on position level

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $66,560 - $95,680
