UnspecifiedAs a Principle TPM for Advanced Data Links Products Team, you will be part of a multi-functional team comprised of System engineers, FPGA, Software, and Hardware engineers.
The candidate will have opportunities to work directly with our military customers, engineering and program management teams and hardware and software engineers that are leading experts in their fields. There are immediate needs to provide solutions and support for both U.S. and International customers. Successful candidates will be responsible for performing under limited supervision all tasks normally associated with the Systems engineering discipline, including bid and proposal work, requirements definitions, design and development, integration and test, and factory support.
*Sign on bonus up to $40,000 for active security clearance holders and up to $17,500 for non-clearance holders. (bonuses available for external candidates only)
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the successful technical and financial execution of >$2M development efforts. This includes technical understanding of the solutions, the system architectures, and SW/HW/FW components.
Ability to estimate, manage, and mitigate risks on a program.
Ability to motivate, monitor and ensure engineers are performing to plan.
Basic Qualifications:
Fluency in program & project management methodologies including Waterfall, SAFE Agile and financial approaches such as Earned Value
Demonstrated experience leading large programs to production, through all stages of life cycle
Knowledge of communications engineering fundamentals including: radio transceiver architectures/designs, radio functional component blocks, performance specifications and test methodologies
Demonstrated experience with system requirements capture, design, and decomposition
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR
In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects
Demonstrated program pursuit and capture ability (concept development, technical writing and work estimation)
Demonstrated ability to plan project level work and meet schedule, cost, and performance goals
Understanding of system validation and verification processes for Software Defined Radios
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact directly with engineering management and design teams
Communicate effectively with Program Management, Business Development and Sales teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Serve as liaison between functional discipline groups and internal and external customers
Ability to travel occasionally to domestic and international locations
Familiarity with military concepts of operations
Acquainted with radio performance standards (military, commercial, FAA)
