Landmark provides E&P professionals with software-driven lifecycle insights that generate new ideas, actions, and results to maximize asset value. Responsibilities include: 

• Work within an Agile Scrum team to design, implement, maintain, and execute automated tests for SaaS applications covering all aspects of testing including functional, smoke, backwards compatibility, performance, load, etc.  

• Take responsibility for overall architecture of the team’s automated testing framework, ensuring that it can be used and reused effectively throughout the SDLC, including testing of new feature development, smoke testing of new builds, regression testing and post-deployment validation testing.  

• Ensure test plans are completed in Azure DevOps and results are recorded and reported accurately.  

• Ensure adequate test coverage of all areas of the application through methods such as a traceability matrix 

• Record any defects found in Azure DevOps providing appropriate information for the development team to investigate (e.g. steps to recreate). Where appropriate assist with investigation.  

• Assist with manual testing when required. 

• Prepare, generate and maintain test data to support thorough testing of the service 

• Help to validate and triage any defects reported to the team by customer or other business areas.  

• Contributing to Feature/Story refinement and estimates.  

• Help define, implement, and maintain suitable tests to monitor the application running in customer environments. 

Essential Attributes 

We are looking for someone with a test driven mindset. You will have in depth experience of the following: 

• 4+ years of related experience including software testing and/or development experience. 

• Testing distributed applications (microservices, SPAs, REST APIs, etc.) in a cloud environment 

• Building and maintaining an automated test framework 

• A variety of QA automation tools and development or scripting languages such as: Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, JMeter, Fiddler, Newman Runner, Java, Python, Powershell, Golang, SQL 

• Working as a member of an Agile team making a positive contribution to Backlog refinement, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Sprint Reviews 

Desirable Skills and Experience 

Practical working knowledge of any the following: 

• AWS and/or Azure environments 

• Azure DevOps (ADO) for sprint planning and test management 

• Familiarity with Databases and SQL queries 

• Docker / Kubernetes 

• JBoss Wildfly 

• New Relic 

• Geology and/or Geophysics domain space 

• A formal QA certification such as CSTE, CSQA or ISTQB
