What does the role look like?
We are recruiting for an Internal Quality Auditor. The successful candidate will perform internal audits predominantly in facilities located within Wolverhampton and Banbury and, on occasion, in non-UK facilities and suppliers. The successful candidate will be involved in the audit and corrective action process from the planning phase of the audit though to advising on root cause methodology and corrective action approaches.
Ideally the candidate will have aerospace auditing experience, knowledge of key requirements such as AS9100 and may hold a recognised accreditation such as AATT. The candidate will be willing to learn internal quality requirements and apply them in providing professional audits and advising on rectification of issues.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
Planning, scheduling and execution of assigned audits within the Actuation systems schedules/requirements
Delivering a professional audit service to auditees/organisations
Improving customer satisfaction and market feedback analysis for the quality function
Keep up to date with industry requirements/regulations
Continually learn the internal quality requirements of the Collins organisation and apply them to the audit process
Reporting results to auditees, leadership and stakeholders
Advising on root cause methodology and corrective action
Improve Customer satisfaction and MFA for Value Stream
What will you bring to the role?
Ability to identify issues for corrective action and link them to documented requirements
Root Cause and Corrective Action practitioner using 8D process or similar (Lean Practitioner an advantage)
Professional presentation skills when presenting to leadership
Strong, structured organization, planning, and execution capabilities
Ability to manage effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to react to urgent business requirements
Resilient in enforcing quality requirements, against resistance
Willing to travel when required within UK and abroad on occasion
Essential:
Auditing experience (ideally from within an aerospace environment)
IT literate - capable user of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Excellent communicator and co-ordinator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage tasks effectively
Desirable:
Understanding of key aerospace Quality requirements (minimum AS9100, EASA/CAA regulatory requirements advantageous)
Previous SAP experience an advantage.
Preferably qualified to degree level (although suitable experience will be considered)
Preferably Lead Auditor Trained (AATT would be advantageous)
