Your Role

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for translating software requirements into test cases, performing exploratory testing, and designing, analyzing, and executing automated tests. You will be part of an Agile team developing a new product within the company, leveraging the AWS cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Translate software requirements/stories into accurate and complete test scenarios, including identifying the detailed test data needs, with a commitment to deliver high-quality releases
• Collaborate with end-user, technology, and operational functions of the business as part of a globally integrated delivery team
• Create automated tests for both UI and backend application components, executing automated tests, generating reports, and analyzing the results
• Conduct functional, integration, stress, performance, and load testing on AWS cloud-based solutions
• Conduct root-cause analysis and track defect resolution to completion
• Validate and certify features for release
• Remove roadblocks, escalate risks and work in a fast-paced and highly-interactive environment
• Conduct peer reviews for tests, test cases, automation scripts

Your expertise

• 3+ years of experience in software testing
• 1+ years of experience in testing automation using existing or custom frameworks
• Proven experience with translating software requirements/stories into accurate and complete test scenarios, including identifying the detailed test data needs
• Experience with web services and API testing
• Experience with UI testing
• Experience with integration, stress, performance, and load testing
• Experience testing cloud-based solutions
• Experience with modern software development life-cycle
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools for version control, application deployment and test automation
• Excellent written and spoken English

• Financial services background
• ISTQB qualification
• Experience testing solutions based on AWS
• SQL knowledge
• Java knowledge
