Position Summary:
As a member of the Asia & India Finance team, this position is responsible for the day-to-day accounting & tax operations of the India offices and provides support to other Asia offices.
Major Responsibility:
- Prepare full set of accounts for India entity, including but not limited to posting journal entries, preparation of month-end reporting package, reconciliations, and indirect tax filings.
- Manage and process accounts payable and employee expense reports for the India office and support other Asia offices in accordance with internal policy.
- Work with external service providers to file direct tax, GST refunds and other filings
- Liaise with different internal and external parties to answer enquiries from tax authorities, including but not limited to GST, TDS and income tax
- Act as the key contact point with auditors in statutory, tax and internal audits
- Provide guidance to India office colleagues on their inquiries on using SAP, Concur and Corcentrics
- Prepare cashflow forecast and funding request for the India office
- Manage corporate card program, monitor card transactions and provide support to corporate card users
- Liaise with service providers to fulfil statutory compliance and regulatory requirements in the India region
- Ad hoc querying, analysis or other tasks
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Minimum 2 years of general accounting or financial support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Hands-on experience in SAP or any other major financial systems
- Experience in filing GST, TDS, and income tax
- Experience in the major online banking platform
- Ability to multi-task within a high-pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines
- Good command of written and spoken English
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline
- Member or student member of accountancy professional bodies is a plus;
