The Solutions Engineer, Growth Solutions - ESG (Sustainability) is the technical and solution expert to assist in mapping a customer's needs to our application across multiple early stage solutions in the ESG (Sustainability) space. In addition, the Solutions Engineer may lead technical discussions on sales calls with customers and provide support for marketing through trade show attendance, presentations, product channel trainings and webinar presentations and hosting.
Responsibilities
Works with the sales team to engage customers, prospects and partners via phone, web, or onsite meetings; drives the discovery process and identifies areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs.
Assists sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva's strategies and objectives.
Offers subject matter expertise in Workiva technology and solutions and demonstrates how we can meet the customer's goals and objectives. Builds and presents business cases and proposals that articulate Workiva's value and ROI.
Ensures customer success by working with Workiva Client Services team for smooth on-boarding and long term success.
Qualifies, develops and helps close opportunities leveraging cross-organizational team members.
Develops expertise across multiple domain areas expanding working knowledge of industries, departments and use cases where Workiva can have an impact.
Broadly shares subject matter, application, technical, market and customer insights and experience.
Develops new use-cases or by using existing templates, provides proof of our solution's impact and value proposition.
Conducts process assessments with customers, builds Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, builds and presents customer specific business cases.
Demonstrates proactive collaboration and feedback to product management teams to capture new customer requirements and enhancements, may require guidance as needed.
What You'll Need
Education
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
Skills
Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement.
A strong, honest individual contributor with intellectual curiosity to positively impacting accounts and opportunities.
Experience with EHS, ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, or Analytics & Reporting solutions and their related technology platforms is a plus.
Capability to gather business needs and present a value based, compelling software demonstration is preferred
Experience
3+ years of experience in the Big Four (or similar environment) in Audit (incl. Internal Controls frameworks) / Risk Advisory / Consulting / Sustainability or Internal Audit / Risk Management.
Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives.
Hands on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies and architectures preferred.
Experience in software development, technical sales is a plus.
