Position Summary:

This role will assist in the oversight of operations of the Game Distribution Center to condition game feeds and other live content, including filling commercial breaks and halftime to build continuous game feeds. The role will work with a team of game operators on a nightly basis to supply a commercial-free game broadcast for the NBA App, NBA League Pass, and to 150+ international partners.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the NBA and its content and will have experience both as a game operator, and in supervising a team of game operators. The candidate will interact with broadcast operations and engineering teams as well as game production teams on a nightly. The ability to solve problems independently and work cross-functionally under tight deadlines while maintaining flexibility and a positive attitude in the face of evolving business challenges is a must for this role.

Major Responsibilities:

• Supervise nightly GDC operations and escalate any technical or production challenges as needed
• Must be available to work nights and weekends
• Manage daily GDC operations team to ensure daily delivery of required formats and rundowns to operators and vendor
• Collaborate on content strategy for commercial breaks and halftime

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Minimum 3 years prior work experience in oversight of nightly operations of game stream conditioning as both an operator and a supervisor
• Knowledge of NBA and content offerings
• Excellent communication, writing, organization and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow process with excellent detail and accuracy

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required
