The Role Associate Director, Downstream Capital Cost lead

The Location: Houston

The Team

In this ever-changing environment, the Cost & Supply Chain team play a vital role in major projects decision making. Covering supply chain and cost in Upstream, Downstream and renewables. Based across the globe with over 20 years of industry expertise and considered industry standard for cost trends and forecasts. Working with and influencing IOCs, NOCs,  private oil and service companies. 


The Impact

We are looking for someone to lead our downstream cost team in developing market research and forecasting for our downstream (petrochemical and refining) costs service. In this role you will be able to work with the existing cost team, as well as internal data providers to provide clients the latest downstream cost trends, insights and forecasts. A knowledge of downstream and a background in industry will be required. A detail oriented individual, with strong communication skills and technical understanding will be successful in this position.

Responsibilities
 

  • Design, build, and deliver Downstream market research, industry insights and forecasts
  • Update and maintain existing technical specifications
  • Work with team members to collect costs and technical data
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine and address data and reporting needs
  • Facilitate delivery of ad hoc analysis and data requests

What We’re Looking For:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, economics, statistics, or industry-related fields required; graduate degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years related experience in petrochemical or refining, acquired by working either directly in downstream or in supporting industries
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerBi is a plus
  • Strong presentation skills to be used both internally amongst colleagues and externally amongst customers; must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills with a mastery of the English language.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work both independently and as part of the wider team.
