Position SummaryKey responsibilities include providing leadership and oversight to the Corporate Accounting and Global Consolidations group, including:
Identify, develop and implement best in class accounting process, automation and other improvement initiatives, including right shoring, in collaboration with other teams within Controllership function.
Journal entry and reconciliation review and general ledger oversight including but not limited to prepaids, accruals, intercompany, debt, stock-based compensation, and fixed assets, among various other areas.
Working closely with SEC Reporting and Technical accounting to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of reporting packages.
Development of process and procedures manuals, policies, and controls supporting the SOX controls.
Coordination with independent auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits•
Oversight of design and execution of key controls within the corporate accounting and global consolidation processes
Collaboration with Corporate and Business unit FP&A teams
Support and independently lead ad hoc requests and special projects for Corporate Controller and other executives to support business decision-making
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Fully qualified candidates will possess the following attributes:
8+ years of experience, including leadership roles.
Robust understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC financial reporting, and management reporting and analysis
Deep understanding and ability to oversee monthly global close and consolidation, including close coordination with all SSC globally.
Deep understanding of IT technology including Oracle, HFM, and Blackline.
Excellent communication skills; able to quickly establish a personal brand within the organization to drive cross-functional collaboration
Able to focus on the overall objective for a given process or accounting area, while at the same time able to dive into transactional detail if needed to resolve questions or issue
Curious mindset that proactively seeks understanding and feedback
Engaging management approach that builds rapport and cohesiveness within the team
Insightful, able to identify trends and themes for continuous improvement across the function
Determination to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives, changing direction along the way to achieve business objectives
Committed to making the time to coach and mentor staff to enhance the proficiency of the group
Upholds commitment to quality through robust review and analysis
Motivated by and thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequent ad hoc requests and changing priorities.
Experience working in multi-national environments; able to collaborate effectively across different cultures, experience levels, etc. •Prior corporate accounting and consolidation experience in the industry preferred but not required
CPA and public accounting experience strongly preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time
