TITLE: Industrial Engineer [MULTIPLE POSITIONS]

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $95,400-128,800 per year and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. DUTIES: Define key production work steps, sequences, and durations and setting up work scope per station or per cell basis. Review engineering drawings, 3D engineering models using Pro-E or PTC Creo to gain an understanding of manufacturing process requirements such as job sequence, workflow, and takt time. Generate and Improve Material Flow Paths and Logistical needs for Production Work Order both in an MRP system and on the production floor. Prepare future production floor layouts to meet planned takt time and schedule. Prepare standardized work instructions. Handle development of detailed specifications for jigs and fixtures for manufacturing processes using takt time, capacity calculations, engineering product design, and sourcing jigs and fixtures from vendors. Lead manufacturing improvements, complex process changes, and technology changes and identifying impacts by generating and presenting ROI calculations. Improve production through identifying & solving problems in the production flow. Provide critical process control guidance to improve production and quality standards. Coordinate and communicate technical information to and from all levels of the organization including vendors, project managers, production team members, and operations managers. Develop and track KPI’s for production.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in an Industrial Engineer-related occupation. Will also accept a Master’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in an Industrial Engineer-related occupation
Experience must involve 1 year in:
1. Project management skills, including developing project plans, timelines / schedules, budgets, proposed layouts, resource requirements, calculating ROI
2. Pro-E, PTC Creo, Solidworks or Equivalent 3D CAD modeling software
3. Knowledge of SAP or similar MRP / ERP systems
4. Facility Layout design and improvements
5. Utilizing and implementing lean manufacturing methods and tools like 5s, 7 Types of Waste (Muda)
6. Root cause analysis and corrective actions
7. Yamazumi Methods, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping / Process Flow Diagrams, ABC-XYZ Analysis
8. Plan and support launch of new production lines in a low volume production environment preferably in heavy equipment, rail, naval, aviation
9. Lean Shop Floor Management Model
Six Sigma/Lean or similar certificate required
