Position Title: Automation Software Team Supervisor 

Salary: $134,243 / Year 

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/Week

Summary of Duties: Manage a team of 7 software developers to build embedded software applications for critical power systems using PLC microcontrollers. Attend design reviews with internal and external customers to solidify project requirements and timelines. Build PLC based automation programs using the Emerson PME software platform. Build Windows-based user interface and monitoring applications (SCADA) using the Wonderware platform.

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or foreign degree equivalent) and 4 years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. 

The position requires 4 years of experience with the following skills: Proficient in PLC Programming, especially software from vendors such as Siemens, GE/Emerson; Proficient in SCADA programming, especially software from vendors such as Siemens, AVEVA/Wonderware; Proficient in automation communications protocols: Genius, GE-SRTP, EGD, MODBUS, Profinet, BACNet, OPC-UA; Ability to interpret schematics, wiring prints and other technical documentations; Strong understanding of diesel generator start/stop control, synchronizing, load sharing, and soft loading; Experience in electrical utility and substation integration or automations system design, including conceptual and detailed design, including schematics, wiring prints, points lists, and other documentation. Approximately 5% travel required.
