The Role: Java Developer

Grade (relevant for internal applicants only): 10

The Location: Remote anywhere on East Coast.

The Team: Environmental Solutions group is a dynamic team developing solutions for carbon trading infrastructure. The products in this group include Environmental Registry, Auctions Platform and other applications providing functionalities in the commodity logistics and sustainability space.

The Impact: This position provides capability to develop new functionality in our applications. The role will focus on backend development but contribution to other areas of application development (DevOps, front-end development) and maintenance will be highly beneficial. This role is key with regards to the location of our key clients.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,600 - $120,000 Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for timely and high-quality delivery.
• Support the Production, Simulation, QA and Development environments.
• Work with the team to design, develop and maintain various pricing systems.
• Drive innovation and adaption of best practices

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong proficiency in Java is must.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX understanding of web markup, including HTML5,
• Should have exposure to multiple frameworks. Following is an indicative list:
  • Spring, Spring Boot
  • Micronaut
  • Hibernate
  • Swagger
  • Lucene
  • RxJava
• Sound knowledge of RESTful principles. Understanding of Micro services is advantageous.
• Emphasize testability though JUnits, Mocking Frameworks, TDD, BDD
• RDBMS Systems: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server,
• Docker, GIT, Maven, Gradle

Good to have, but not essential:

• Exposure with any of the following languages: Python, Scala, NodeJs
• Knowledge of any one NoSQL systems. Indicative list: MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Neo4J, Elastic Search, Aerospike, HBase
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud systems
