What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:

Our Service Specialists conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing of HVAC Automation Systems (including detailed troubleshooting). As a Service Specialist, you will be responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site, customer interaction. You will also be responsible for properly completing required project and service documentation. Our seasoned specialists mentor mechanical technicians on building automation activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electronic control system malfunctions, providing sketches for engineering corrections and maintaining communication with customers about service details, outstanding issues, and recommendations
  • Foster customer relationships by regularly meeting to discuss operating problems and promoting the sale of add-on work
  • Manage assigned work professionally, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction while reporting any problems or changes to management promptly
  • Collaborate with Service Manager, Service Project Manager, and subcontractors to coordinate project activities professionally and ethically
  • Provide training and support to customers and mechanical staff on electronic control systems operations, non-complex equipment, and building automation systems
  • Prepare and deliver job documentation, including certificates of completion, training materials, and punch lists
 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree preferred
  • Experience installing and/or servicing electronic control and HVAC equipment, Building Automation Controls or similar preferred, however candidates with coursework or military-related experience, will also be considered.
    • Level 1 - 0-2 years experience
    • Level 2 - 2-5 years experience
    • Level Sr. - 5+ years experience
  • For Senior Level role: must have experience in writing computer programs and software applications related to the HVAC industry; demonstrated experience in the integration of low-voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols, such as BACNet, N2, Modbus, etc.
  • Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment; working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for employer-based sponsorship currently or in the future
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
