What you will do-
You will provide manufacturing engineering leadership, mentoring and the ability to head up complex projects within operations. Own initiatives that drive toward best practices and support business objectives. We are looking for someone with strong project management skills.
Additional Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and communicate project timelines within a cross-functional team
Develops strategy and deploys equipment to improve vision systems / optical character recognition in a manufacturing setting deploy
Define & implement specific solutions to technical problems, completing the tasks and writing reports that clearly document the results
Work closely with Advanced Operations, Engineering Services, suppliers, and Quality to resolve in-house and supplier quality problems using established problem solving methodologies
Actively participate and lead teams in the development and improvement of the manufacturing process for existing and new products
Review & approve inspection plans, routers and product drawings
Develop, review & approve equipment validation/qualifications
Pro-actively address quality issues and process improvements for assigned projects
Support product transfers from outside vendors and other plants/facilities
Review and approve nonconforming material and system documentation
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Serve as a mentor to others

What you need-
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required
4+ years of relevant engineering experience required
Demonstrated ability to deliver on high profile projects and effectively communicate project status required
Experience with vision systems in a manufacturing process required
Working knowledge of quality tools such as failure modes and effects analysis and control plans required
Experience supporting NC and CAPA initiatives required
Demonstrated proficiency in Lean and problem solving tools with a high focus on process improvement - preferred
Experience with automation of manufacturing processes - strongly preferred
