Reporting to the Senior Manager Validation and Compliance Group as a Lead Compliance Engineer, who will be responsible for supporting Li-Ion NPI activities.
This will be a hybrid role (2 days remote, 3 days in office) at our global Corporate headquarters in Reading, PA
- Create validation plans to ensure all regulatory, certification, customer and internal requirements are met for a product
- Work with UL/Intertek/CSA to achieve Listings and Recognitions of Products
- Work with internal engineering teams to create required documentation for certification
- Work with test houses to schedule testing
- Support running changes of product lines and deviations including feedback on potential impacts to certification
B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
7+ years of experience working with an NRTL
Experience in leading and managing a cross-functional team in product development
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ Years of Lithium Battery Testing and/or Certification
Experience leading certification with UL/Intertek/CSA
Experience with stationary battery systems
Skills Requirement:
Previous experience of working with Li-Ion Technology is essential.
Familiar with UN38.3, UL1973, UL2580, UL9540, UL9540A, IEC62619 test standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office program suite.
Detailed report writing skills.
Previous experience of delivering measurable results in a busy environment.
Experience of working with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
Good communication skills and able to liaise across all areas of the business.
Knowledge of health and safety standards.
Demonstrate a high degree of safety practices in the workplace.
