As a leader in our organization, you will be responsible for managing a team that performs installations and commissioning for building automation systems. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership, and accountability to ensure successful project execution, technical support, and time-and-materials (T&M) work.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the System Engineering team by setting goals, monitoring performance, conducting employee reviews, and scheduling formal training.
- Assign and schedule installation and commissioning tasks to the team, ensuring adherence to schedules, project plans, job specifications, and cost estimates.
- Enhance planned and booked margins for technical support programs, focusing on maintaining and improving profitability.
- Oversee the development and implementation of project plans to monitor and control the execution of work.
- Review customer feedback to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and achievement of account growth goals.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between sales, engineering, and execution teams to manage changes and discrepancies, minimizing costs and delays during estimating and project execution phases.
- Implement cost-containment procedures and processes to support project profitability.
- Travel between branch locations as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in installing and/or servicing electronic HVAC controls; HVAC or Building Automation systems experience preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in team supervision preferred.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bluebeam or equivalent software is desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
