We are expanding our Transportation / Supply Chain Engineering (SCE) team in the EU so we can evolve our platforms to support the growth Wayfair is currently experiencing, while also making sure we're prepared for the years to come. That's why we're looking to integrate into our team a Senior Software Engineer with great experience in .Net development.

The Role

Wayfair runs the largest in-house e-commerce big parcel network in the US and is currently building the EU equivalent with exponential growth.

As a Senior .Net Software Engineer in SCE, you'll be leading the next generation's implementation of the platforms that support Wayfair in making millions of products available to its customers.

You will work in a small team in a fast-paced, agile environment, driving business-critical projects that have high impact not only in the EU but also worldwide.

Data will play a major role in everything you do, and scalability will be a permanent concern in everything you create.

You'll participate in decision making, designing, implementing, documenting, deploying and supporting the projects that you and your team build.

You have

  • Professional English proficiency and great communication skills
  • Strong professional experience in C# development
  • You know the .Net ecosystem like the back of your hand
  • Extensive knowledge on how distributed systems work and have done a lot of web development
  • Experience with GitHub or GitLab
  • A solid understanding of OOP and design patterns
  • Good experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
  • An analytical and creative mindset, with a passion for solving business problems with technology
  • Experience giving out and receiving code reviews
  • You don't write code which isn't covered by unit and integration tests
  • Experience creating, integrating and supporting enterprise systems
  • A team player mindset

Nice to have
  • Experience with .Net core
  • You know a lot about containers and Docker
  • Full stack developer mindset and skills
  • You've worked with message queues and event streaming, and you're familiar with Kafka
  • You're familiar with Event Sourcing and CQRS
  • You've done Domain Driven Design
