Direct-to-Consumer-and-International (DTCI) is Disney’s global, multiplatform media, product, technology, and distribution organization for world-class content. DTCI is comprised of Disney’s international media and direct-to-consumer businesses globally, including all Disney networks outside of the US, the ESPN+ streaming service, the upcoming Disney-branded direct-to-consumer streaming service and the Company’s ownership stake in Hulu. The DTCI Tech organization focuses on providing ground-breaking innovation and driving the strategic use and development of technology to power the DTCI business, deliver world-class products and experiences to consumers around the world. The Data Platform group within DTCI Tech, is charged with developing a consolidated data platform that supports DTCI business stakeholders with the means to access, activate and analyze all of Disney’s consumer data in a secure and compliant way.

Responsibilities :
  • Focus on major areas of work, typically 20% or more of role
  • Proactively engages business partners to gauge analytic needs, and builds strong working relationships across both business and technology units
  • Carefully inspects business processes and recommends analytic solutions
  • Presents analytics needs to technology partners, and participates in design sessions with technology as needed
  • Works closely with project managers, scrum masters, and/or business analysts to plan product releases, and ensure analytic product road maps align with application road maps where applicable
  • Offers training and/or develops product documentation to ensure successful product implementations

Basic Qualifications :
  • 5-7 years of product and business analysis and/or analytics/business intelligence experience
  • Combination of strong technical skills and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the DTCI organization – from analysts to senior leadership
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to keep a finger on the pulse of a rapidly evolving business
  • Experience with various analytic capabilities, tools, and best practices
  • Stays current on trends and emerging needs with regards to data and analytics
  • Possesses strong communication and organizational skills
  • Possesses strong documentation, and presentation skills
  • Facility with generating both tactical and strategic product road maps
  • Experience working with with various analytics tools (i.e. Business Objects, Tableau, Microstrategy, Looker, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in media with an understanding of business model.
  • Experience with SQL, programming languages used for data analysis (Python/R) and knowledge of data warehousing processes/systems like Snowflake and Amazon Redshift.

Preferred Education :
  • Degree in a quantitative or computation field preferred (i.e. Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Finance, or an emphasis in quantitative methods)
