Basic Qualifications :
  • Defines parameters and establish program guidelines for increased volunteer engagement and participation to assure placement for departmental need, exhibits, programs, etc.
  • Focus on engaging key talent (behind and in front of the camera) to engage in unique activations, and integrate into WDT efforts.
  • Responsible for the overall administration of the volunteer program to support organizational goals for the volunteer program.
  • Collaborates with leadership to identify needs of employees in the volunteer arena.
  • Collaborate with HR to evaluate activities as they support recruitment and retention.
  • Assists TWDC ESR & Non-Profit representatives with developing, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures for the utilization of volunteer services.
  • Provides review and approval for all policies and procedures for the management of volunteers across WDT to ensure uniform practices.
  • Works with TWDC ESR & non-profit representatives to identify ways to increase volunteer engagement and improvements on retention activities such as establishing rewards, recognition or incentive programs.
  • Responsible for screening and orientating all potential volunteers and assisting non-profit partners with establishing appropriate on-boarding practices.
  • Manage all volunteer recognition and appreciation activities.
  • Assigns volunteers to appropriate activations and work as liaison with TWDC ESR and non-profit representatives to oversee volunteer activities.
  • Manages purchasing and issuance of volunteer t-shirts, and needed equipment.
  • Maintains volunteer records through a regularly updated database in partnership with TWDC ESR.
  • Provides monthly reports to WDT CSR lead and shares appropriate information to management to improve volunteer activities across WDT.
  • Works with TWDC ESR & non-profit representatives to increase their knowledge, skills and abilities around volunteerism through information sharing or training.
  • Manages volunteer performance reviews.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with the volunteers and WDT leadership.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive Volunteer Management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience setting and achieving strategic goals within an organization.
  • Knowledge of local community organizations and resources.
  • Knowledge of volunteerism philosophy and concepts.
  • Interest and commitment to community and volunteer service.
  • Experience in working with a diverse group of people.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • People oriented and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to organize information for easy access.
  • Ability to achieve goals under pressure.
  • Ability to retain firm control while building relationship with executives and volunteers.
  • Flexibility and willingness to cooperate within a team environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays and some evenings.

Preferred Education :
  • Bachelors’ degree preferred or must have equivalent work experience.
