  • ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

    The Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting is one of the world's most highly regarded communications consultancies. We offer a broad base of disciplines across a variety of specialist sectors including financial services, retail and consumer, digital, natural resources, energy, public affairs, real estate, professional services, technology media telecoms (TMT) and life sciences.

    PRIMARY DUTIES:

    • Manage the filing and distribution of important client announcements
    • Complete research tasks and client reporting for the team as required
    • Maintain team databases, credentials and press lists
    • Schedule and coordinate internal meetings and manage diaries of team members, coordinate client logistics and scheduling
    • Arrange and manage travel itineraries and logistics for the team as required
    • Produce and review reports and documents, including producing high quality PowerPoint presentations
    • Assist with team, journalist and client hospitality events including drafting and sending invites, managing attendance lists and arranging venues
    • Provide general administrative support to the team including MD and SMD expense submissions
    • Answer telephones and transfer calls and greet clients to the office
    • Act as the main point of contact on specific client accounts - this includes liaising with clients on a regular basis and submitting RNS releases
    • Collaborate with the other Team Assistant and the wider corporate support teams, including HR, Facilities, Finance and IT, to ensure smooth running of the team
    • Filing and printing documents and collating information packs for the team as required
    • Ad-hoc projects as and when required
    • Out of hours support to the team will be required on occasion


    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    Previous experience in supporting a busy team

    PREFERRED SKILLS:
    • High level of IT literacy (PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Previous experience of organising events
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team
    • Ability to cope under pressure and adapt to change quickly
    • Experience of supporting colleagues at a senior level would be an advantage
    • Previous experience of working within a financial environment would be beneficial
