As an DevOps Engineer at Relativity, you will leverage your knowledge of databases and automation tools and public clouds (e.g. Azure) to build our SaaS web-based litigation support platform, RelativityOne. This is your opportunity to work on a scalable and dynamic infrastructure which delivers superior performance and reliability characteristics. Additionally, you will learn how to build highly distributable systems composed of multiple database, file storage, processing, and web servers. Responsibilities:
  • The DevOps Engineer designs implements and tests cloud native, SaaS solutions consistently applying best practice software engineering.  Key responsibilities include:
  • Implementing tools and technologies to provision and configure an enterprise software system in public utility clouds with a focus on increasing efficiency and elasticity of deployed solution without sacrificing quality
  • Ability to contribute throughout all phases of a service lifecycle from conception through design, development, deployment and ultimately operation
  • A commitment to monitoring and observability
  • Identify, document, automate, and engineer processes for repeated tasks.
  • Oversee the application environment to effectively run and maintain the technology and determine the advisement of potential technology or process improvements.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audience.
  • Seek and recommend improvements to current processes
  • Participate in code reviews for projects written by your team
  • Participate in design reviews for new and existing services and platforms
  • Practice positive interactions
  • Display ownership of your work
  • Be strong team player and collaborator
Minimum qualifications:
  • 3+ years of professional automation experience with a proven track record of building and shipping successful solutions
  • Full knowledge of and adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards and best practices
  • Understanding and working of Relational databases (e.g. SQL Server)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer / Electrical Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred
Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Database
  • Experience with public cloud, preferably Azure
  • Experience and knowledge of tools such as Chef, Jenkins, Jira.
  • Experience maintaining and improving Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and partnering skills for cross-group collaboration
  • Excellent communication & enthusiasm
  • Experience working on an Agile development team
  • Experience reviewing code
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer / Electrical Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred
