Position Overview

We’re looking for a developer with a quality mindset, focused on testing and testability of software applications and cloud services that enable our customers to improve the world around us. Your role will be to own, and drive initiatives related to improving quality, stability, reliability and usability of software. You will accomplish this by leveraging your quality assurance mindset combined with your technical chops for test automation. You will use tools and procedures for validating quality of cloud services and desktop software we ship to our customers. You will be creating and executing tests, test plans and analyzing test results with the objective of finding defects during the software development process. Autodesk is consistently one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For in America.” Responsibilities - Passion for developing robust software and writing testable and maintainable code - Enforce best practices and drive quality early in the development cycle - Evaluate and use testing tools and test frameworks - Work collaboratively in Agile environment to identify and prioritize testing strategies - Help team evaluate risk, quality, and/or stability of products and services - Create and execute plans at the product or code level - Clearly document, manage, and prioritize defects - Collaborate with Product Support and customers to resolve customer issues - Monitor, analyze, and present automated and manually gathered test results and metrics - Enthusiasm to share knowledge and mentor teammates - Occasional travel, some off-hour virtual meetings Minimum Qualifications - 3+ years of automation testing experience - Knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, mock data/services, creating test cases, debugging & testing - Experience with behavior-driven development, test-driven development and/or unit testing - Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Python, JavaScript - Excellent spoken and written communication skills - Comfortable in working in Linux and Windows environment - BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications - Experience testing cloud-based SaaS solutions - Experience working with one or more testing tools, such as Locust, Postman, etc. - Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
