Marvel seeks a qualified candidate for an assistant role supporting the Editor-in-Chief, the Publisher and key publishing executives in New York. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of administrative duties, which include handling a heavy volume of scheduling, phone calls, booking travel arrangements, preparing and submitting expense reports, special projects and other coordination tasks.

Having the abilities to clearly communicate and realize ideas as well as the ability to pay close attention to detail while pursuing larger goals are the key factors that will distinguish a superior candidate.

Responsibilities :
  • Scheduling meeting and maintaining extensive calendars
  • Answering and screening incoming calls
  • Handling the preparation and processing of expense reports
  • Organize departmental calendar events
  • Coordinate meetings for department meetings and outside partners
  • Managing and maintaining departmental files
  • Updating status duties
  • Contributes to departmental projects as well as implements special projects as assigned


Basic Qualifications :
  • Candidate should have a minimum of 1 to 3 years administrative experience working for a top executive or team of executives
  • Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Team player attitude with the ability to interact with multiple levels of employees and clients within and outside the organization
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task successfully
  • Detail-oriented, with proven organizational and prioritization skills
  • Clear and effective communication skills in both verbal and written form
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to exercise appropriate judgment in executing tasks without supervision
  • Ability to multi-task a variety of projects at any given time
  • Must possess enthusiasm, flexibility and creativity
  • Must be willing to assume challenges and increased responsibility
