Job Purpose (Job Summary):  Development and production support activitiesshould be completed within expected delivery dates and should adhere to allInvesco development standards.  Theability to communicate with both business users and IT professionals is a must.


 


Key Responsibilities / Duties:


  • Completeall tasks related to technical analysis, building and unit testing, qualityassurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the IT developmentlife cycle.

  • Analyzerequirements, design, build and test system components or amendments.

  • Alwaysconform to documentation, coding and quality standards as defined.

  • Review,discuss and work within agreed timescales and feedback to project managers anyvariances arising as tasks are performed.

  • Understandclient business and make recommendations and technology suggestions to solveproblems and improve efficiency.

  • Understandarchitecture of applications in order to effectively troubleshoot problems anddevelop more efficient production processes.

  • Beprepared to carry out business analysis tasks to ensure that thedevelopment/change meets user requirements and expectations. 

  • Preparefor and support user acceptance testing.

  • Prepareall necessary documentation and processes to enable ongoing support of thesystems.

  • Communicatewith internal and external customers, supervisors and management using clear,user-friendly terminology (emails, phone, and meetings).

  • ProvideOn Call support for systems based on agreed coverage timeframe.

     

    Working Conditions:


  • Normally works aregular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project orassignment. 

  • Willingness to travelboth domestically and internationally. Frequency and duration to be determined by manager.

     

    Work Experience / Knowledge: 


  • Minimum of 10 yearsof proven systems development experience using structured.

  • Formal training insystems analysis and computer programming

  • Understanding ofrelational database design and development life cycle principles

  • Solid experience ofworking in project teams

  • Desire to stayabreast of new development tools and methods

    Specific Technical Skills Required:

     


Software Developer

§  C#, .Net

§  Development experience with Oracle Developer 9i/10g, SQL/PL-SQL

§  Hands on experience with Autosys or any other scheduler

§  Knowledge of FTP and SFTP commands.

§  Informatica 10.X

§  Autosys/Informatica workflow integration

§  Should have prior Asset Management Industry experience

§  Knowledge in Charles River (CRD) is a plus

§  Working on huge data sets and creating models is a big plus

Equity Investments

§  Fundamentals of the investment processes

§  Process and data flow of Equity Trading, Compliance and understanding of different instrument types is a plus

Language

§  Proficiency in verbal and written English is required

  • ABachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems \ Computer Science ispreferred or commensurate relevant work experience
