Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with SIP-based communications, IMS services and mobile network services and architecture. Experience interfacing with mobile network operators.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience engaging directly with potential business partners.
  • Extensive carrier network architecture knowledge and a good understanding of IMS (i.e. RCS).
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to present confidently to both technical and non technical audiences.
About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship with our carrier partners. You will lead cross-functional teams to leverage Google’s platform for our external partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee technical execution and business operations. You will advocate for the RCS standard and partner with the industry to distribute it through Android Messages and other communications apps.

You will balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative and cutting edge solutions, acting as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, and develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources. You will aim to to enable users and businesses to communicate on every Android device across messaging, voice and video with Duo, Dialer and Messages.

  • Support the Business Development engagement process, from initial exploratory discussions and technical evaluation to integration handoff.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to develop technical specifications for service launch and detailed project plans, then manage this plan with multiple stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams to spread understanding of product requirements. Identify opportunities for development and innovation.
  • Take responsibility for technical account management for your partners, their service growth, and success with our products.
  • Travel in your region in support of partner engagement activities. Bring technical credibility to our partner engagement process, presenting and engaging with partners.
