Minimum qualifications:

  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of analog or mixed-signal IC design.
  • Experience leading a complex silicon project from conception through production.
  • Experience an analog/mixed-signal IC design domain.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 years of engineering experience.
  • Proficient in Python or C++.
  • Track record of demonstrating technical leadership when working with engineering and product teams to execute to research and/or product milestones.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

Pulling on your technical and leadership expertise, you lead end-to-end research projects in multiple areas of expertise across data center facilities and manage a team of direct reports working on equipment installation, troubleshooting and debugging.

Responsibilities
  • Help define, develop and produce highly differentiated application specific integrated circuits.
  • Contribute to multiple design disciplines including analog, digital, power management, RF, signal processing, system architecture, silicon characterization and performance tuning.
  • Work with product and engineering groups across Alphabet to develop silicon and system solutions.
  • Oversee silicon system integration and qualification for internally built ICs.
