The Checkr marketing team is expanding to help fuel the ongoing growth of the Checkr business and we are looking to hire a Senior Product Marketing Manager. In this role you will play a key part in bringing new offerings to market - from discovery and planning, to launching and growing. We are looking for someone who has experience collecting and analyzing voice-of-the-customer insight and market research and then turning that into compelling messaging, GTM plans, and successful enablement for internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate will bring to the table past experiences positioning complex products in the market, as well as a solid track record in partnering with internal and external stakeholders to influence the roadmap, and develop valuable stories and content that position Checkr as the industry leader.

Here’s what you’d be doing:

  • Work hand-in-hand with Product Managers to quarterback bringing new revenue generating products to market, tracking success through new business and upsell revenue.
  • Own the revenue number for your products - developing plans, campaigns, enablement, and supporting strategic deals when necessary. 
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders from Demand Gen, Comms, Product, Customer Success, Sales, Customer Education, Enablement, Data, Legal, and Operations (touching almost every team at Checkr) to launch, drive growth (e.g., revenue, adoption), and differentiate key product areas.
  • Develop relationships with customers, prospects, industry experts, and external thought leaders to consistently sharpen the voice-of-the-customer and better understand market pain points and business objectives and use that to influence product planning.
  • Develop and own delivery of comprehensive launch plans including identifying the right stakeholders for cross-functional initiatives, ultimately steering the group with clear project management and an aligned vision.
  • Create messaging frameworks and compelling content that differentiates our products and capabilities in the market.
  • Identify beta customers with Customer Success leadership and work to build compelling programs that validate your products and lead to success stories for the market. 
  • Engage with Sales Enablement to create the appropriate sales enablement tools that will power the sales teams in all phases of the sales cycle.
  • Partner with the broader marketing team to produce high fidelity externally-facing content including thought leadership content, customer stories, webinars, data sheets, solution guides and more that align to all funnels of the GTM plan.
  • Partner with the comms team, data team and industry team to develop newsworthy angles to garner media coverage and earned speaking engagements to drive awareness and demand for new Checkr products.
  • Work closely with cross-functional marketing team to drive the business including tracking, measuring and reporting on results. 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 6+ years of product marketing and/or product management experience with a passion for the product strategy and launching new products
  • Self-starter who is used to working autonomously to drive successful product launches and maintain ownership of revenue numbers. 
  • Dynamic, confident personality with the ability to sell ideas well through creative & innovative solutions. Proven track record of crafting compelling messaging, positioning and ability to communicate effectively and directly with VP level customer contacts.
  • Hands-on ability to create realistic product launch plans, lead cross-functional teams, and build paths to execute on all necessary deliverables.
  • Ability to use data to augment storytelling and create value driven messages for the market.
  • Demonstrated experience working with executives, customers, and cross-functional partners on high visibility projects. 
  • Experience and examples of past product launches with metrics to describe performance.
  • Knowledge and understanding of complex sales organizations with a passion for doing product marketing that helps the bottom line and drives business.
  • Strong communication skills including storytelling with slides, data crunching, use of salesforce.com, etc.
